A quick blog today – I was amused to hear on the BBC yesterday that researchers have found out that turtles can talk to each other. Blimey trousers. Whatever next? That animals can really communicate to each other in the 21st century? Well, blow me down . . . .

Yesterday I was down on St Helens Duver with Peter Ellis and we were discussing the effect of sand, sea and sunshine. Apart  from making us all happy, the pure simple joy we watched in one boy (wearing long ‘shorts’) jumping off a wall onto the sand, running back up and doing it all over again and again (for ages) . . . to another young chap, so happy, he had to dance while walking along the ‘prom’ . . . to a little lady who showed us her birthday body board from her grannie. Her birthday was in March and yesterday was the first time she could use it.

‘. . .and it’s meant that I’ve made my birthday last for ages!’ she gleefully exclaimed.

Talking of children, today, at Ryde Aspire (which used to be Holy Trinity Church, Dover Street Ryde, PO33 2BN) they are running another ‘free school meal’ for any children (and accompanying adults) between 11.30am and 1pm. It’s a funded project (yes, I did say ‘free’ for the children and accompanying adults) as part of Ryde Aspire’s community cafe project, along with musical events, pop up restaurant and more – for more details, see

Also to let you know that I’m still working on arrangements and new music with the superb Karen Street. . . whose music really makes my heart sing. Check her out :

And have a peek at this website for beautiful jewellery (I particularly liked the ring using seaglass) :
